Senior Lecturer in ICT Infrastructure and Cloud Services

Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences trains professionals for business and services through education, research and development. Our fields of education are business, hotel, restaurant and tourism management, information technology, journalism, business service solutions and languages, sports management and vocational teacher education. We have about 700 members of staff and about 11 000 students.

We are looking for
Senior Lecturer in ICT Infrastructure and Cloud Services
to the ICT Infrastructure and Cloud Services competence area in Helsinki for a permanent position starting on August 15, 2022 or according to the agreement.

In this position, we expect experience in one or several of the following areas:

  • OS administration in Linux or Windows
  • Fundamentals of IP Networks
  • Information Security, Cyber Security
  • Fundamentals of Cloud Services (Azure, AWS or GCP).

In addition to teaching, the position includes supervising theses and participating in research, development and innovation activities, business cooperation and training and coaching services for companies. Some teaching assignments can be in the evenings or on weekends and on different campuses.

We expect you to have:

  • a Master’s degree in a suitable field
  • relevant work experience
  • work planning and organization skills
  • interaction, partnership and teamwork skills
  • good communication skills, a systematic way of working and a solution-based approach.

We value a student-centred approach. Pedagogical qualifications are considered an advantage but can also be acquired later within an agreed time period.
